SHORT SALE NEGOTIATOR

What is short sale negotiations or who is a short sale negotiator and who actually negotiates the short sale?  As you may be aware, once you hire a Realtor to list and market your home in a short sale, many times that same realtor with will handle the short sale package submission as well as the short sale negotiations.  Some Realtors who do not feel comfortable negotiating with lenders and bank contract out to professional short sale negotiators. 

Who are these negotiators?  Some negotiators are Realtors, Lawyers, Accountants and even College Students.

Ask your Real Estate Professional who will be negotiating your short sale.  Find out who will be responsible for what may be the most important part of the short sale, the negotiations. 

I personally like to leave all negotiations to Short Sale Lawyers.  A Short Sale Lawyer is a Professional who is licensed and trained as an Attorney.  If you are using a Realtor as a Negotiator, I would use the Realtor who is your Short Sale Realtor, unless they work with a Short Sale Lawyer.  In my experience this is the best combination.

Short sale companies are also fine, but be ware of fly by night so called professional short sale negotiators who may or may not know what they are doing or have the support to carry your short sale from beginning to end...

So in short a short sale negotiation is that act of negotiating the terms of your short sale.
